The Amazing Colossal Man (1957)

When the army conducts an experiment that doesn't go as planned,  Lt Col. Glenn Manning is exposed to the blast from a plutonium bomb. With over 90 percent of his body burned, he isn't expected to make it through the night. But despite that prognosis, Manning survives the night and miraculously heals. He not only heals, he begins to grow larger and larger. As his body changes, though, it becomes more and more apparent that his personality is changing, as well.
