When a group of friends are partying the night away, strong-willed and independent Angela challenges her boyfriend to an automobile race to Land's End. Who ever gets there first is the winner. She takes the lead but is deterred due to running out of gas in the foggy moors. Instead of waiting for her friend to return, she meets the creepy gardener of an isolated castle and then meets the castle's owner, Dr. Lawrence. She is intrigued by Dr. Lawrence's past and is convinced to spend the night - but told NOT to go upstairs.
