Way Out: False Face (1961)
In his quest to perfect his portrayal of Quasimodo, an actor finds a homeless man to model as he applies his makeup for performance. The actor pays the homeless man fifty dollars to sit as he sculpts putty to mimic the homeless man's face. The man bares his soul to the actor, only to be shoved out the door and ridiculed. The actor gives an encore inspiring performance and then realizes that he has endured some form of transformation.
